B. Determine to overcome sin:

always struggle with it.
C. Get help:

2. Our brethren can help: Galatians 6:1-2, James 5:16
3. We will not be successful alone!
D. Guard our hearts:

F. Cut off the supply lines of
sin:
1. Put to death the fleshly deeds: Romans 8:12-13, Col
3:5ff
2. Make no provision for the flesh: Romans 13:14, 2 Timothy 2:22
3. We must be aware of ungodly influences: 1 Corinthians 15:33
G. Replace our sinful habits with
godly ones:
1. We must replace that which we remove: Luke 11:25
2. Abounding in spiritual things is key to being sinless: 2 Pet
1:10
H. Look to our example:
1. Jesus left us a sinless example: 1 Peter 2:21-24
2. We must always pattern our life after Jesus: 1 Corinthians
11:1
I. Receive forgiveness of sins:
1. Baptism washes away sins: Acts 22:16, 1 Pet 3:21, Heb 10:22
2. We must pray for forgiveness: Act 8:22
Conclusion: If we
hope to gain a home in heaven at the end of our life, we must put sin
out of our life. Let us strive to live as Jesus lived, a life free from
sin.
